Couples looking for a quiet getaway, this place is great
The view over the harbour? Absolutely amazing, every morning I woke up and it felt like a scene from an old movie. The staff were kind, one even treated us to a complimentary gin and tonic which was refreshing after a long drive.
It wasn't exactly cheap but for the experience, I’d say it was acceptable.

The bar area offers a fantastic view of the estuary towards Polruan, with binoculars available for those wanting a closer look. The decor throughout the hotel has been carefully considered, reflecting a charming coastal style, which adds to the overall ambiance.
Staying in a superior room, it was disappointing to encounter a cramped bathroom that felt limiting. The lack of available parking was frustrating, particularly since I'd asked multiple times about it during my stay. On a special occasion, it felt underwhelming to not receive any acknowledgment or gesture to mark our anniversary.

Truly breathtaking views of the estuary greet you from nearly every room, providing a cinematic backdrop as you start your day. The hotel’s Victorian charm shines through in the vibrant decor, making you feel like you've stepped into a different era while enjoying all the modern comforts.
Parking options are limited, which can be frustrating during peak times, and the dining menu lacks variety, making it hard to find something to satisfy every palate, especially during extended stays. On top of that, occasional noise from events can disrupt the tranquility of the restaurant, detracting from the enjoyable atmosphere.
